Bio
Hello, I am Luka Marčič, a second year PhD student and young researcher at the
Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana in Slovenia.
My areas of interest in mathematics are centered around low
dimensional geometric topology, particularly knot concordance and the study of
knotted surfaces. My PhD mentor is dr. Eva Horvat.
In my personal life, I enjoy rock climbing and mountaineering, reading science fiction (my favourite authors being
Philip K. Dick and Stanisław Lem), playing TTRPGs and other board games, cooking and baking, and
listening to rap, hip hop or various genres of electronic music.
